What is GMAT?
(Graduate Management Admission Test)
GMAT is an exam that asses your academic behavioural ability. Especially some universities ask for GMAT result for MBA (Master in Business Administration). You must be at least 18 years old to take this exam. GMAT is not only for MBA. You can show your skills in English by this exam. Some companies accept GMAT result to validate your English level.
You can attend the exam five times in a year. If you do not like your result then you can attend again after 16 days to another exam. There are 600 test centres all around the World.
How much GMAT costs?
You should pay 250$ for the GMAT exam. Also, if you want to pay on the phone you have to pay extra 10$. The cost is not changeable according to country. You will absolutely pay $250 wherever you are. If you want to have an additional score report then you have to pay an extra $28.
GMAT or IELTS?
It is a simple question. Of course, I would say IELTS is better because it is easier than GMAT. But if you want to show your skills in business desicions then you have to get GMAT. IELTS exam only assesses your English ability. GMAT checks your business skills too.
How to prepare for GMAT?
If you want to get a satisfactory score from GMAT you should at least study for 125 hours. You should focus on business in World cases. Firstly, you have to understand what is your weakness in business English. And then you will know what to focus on mostly.
At the first attempt, If you do not get the result that you wanted then you have to practice more complicated topics on business areas. Also, you have to give yourself at least a few months to be ready.
